well, generally I am not the type to post topics against specific users, however, I think this time it's required.
There is one user on this site, namely goblin, who has seen fit to insult practically everyone on this site and then put them on ignore so that he doesn't have to read what they have to say. Now it is no secret that there is no love lost between me and goblin, but I think that when he refers to me in a topic as a "bitch" for absolutely no reason, he has gone too far.
I propose one of two actions, that goblin either be banned from the site, after all he has literally bad-mouthed pretty much everything, so it's not just a personal issue, or he be prevented from posting to the boards, after all he does have everyone else on ignore, so why should he be allowed to post but others not able to reply?
any thoughts?

1: i don't think he could be prevented from posting to the boards ingenral (becaus i don't know if that's posible)
but i'm on your side and he's not the only one trust me!
here's my thoughts. While I agree thet goblin isn't particularly nice to anyone on this site. I also think that in a number of cases you bring it on yourself clair, if you just ignored wht he had to say, skipped over his posts like the rest of us do, then he wouldn't have such a personal vendeter against you. but the reason he carries on the way he does towards you is because you react to it, and we all know how much he likes to have the last word. I say stop concerning yourself with him who cares if he's called you a bitch. people will probably say much stronger things to each of us in our life times. and the only way it can effect us is if we let it.
Unfortionately we can't take action against him, since if we start with him who knows where it stops.
I wonder if it might be a compromise to make it possible for disagreeable persons to be put on moderated status for a bit??
Yes starting with the 1 who has been disagreeable since she 1st arrived here. SB, has been consitantly unpleasant, abusive, childish, ignorant accusatory and consistantly wrong! And she wants me banned hmm the pot doth call the kettle black. As I have said previously those who do the most harm, invariably shout the loudest about those who know better and yet again she has started another fight, where did you learn to be so childish hmm? From your son, isn't she a fast learner.I treat people how they treat me, and I have absolutely no feckin reason, to be nice to that eejit and her cohorts.
Hehe, wow guys, the two of you have taken over the boards with petty arguments and Adriana is providing fun for the quick notes, never thought I'd mention the 3 of you in the same sentence.
SB, seriously, bringing all the goblin bashing topics back to the top of the board is extremely immature and I still just can't believe it, I expected a lot more mature response from you to be honest.
Goblin I always knew where you stand so I'm not surprised, but, well, hey, you keep the drama alive, I was going to take sides but looking at the top of the "topics with new post" it appears painfully obvious to me that you guys both bring this drama on yourselves and I can't really see how one is lessoffensive than the other, SB is a lotmore artistic about it though but at the same time she should know better.
Over all this is rather entertaining though so keep it up if you feel it's necessary, will spice up the boards a bit.

Claire, we have a feature here that you disagree with, to deal with situations like this. Ignore him. if you don't want to use that feature then just skip past his posts, however I do find it interesting how he can reply to someone who he's supposed to be ignoring, but then we know he reads the boards without logging in, and just puts us on ignore for effect. However I find his comments more reflective of him than you.
I don't have an opinion either way about Goblin. I agree with him sometimes and disagree with him other times and I admit taking part in poking fun at him as well. I don't take these boards so seriously, although I can understand that his bluntness can make people go there. Plus, I think if there is an ignore feature, we can all use it as we see fit, even if that means ignoring almost everybody. If somebody ignored me or sent me hate mail, I wouldn't take that personally as I know I'm not to everybody's tastes either. I'm no fan of people like Blindguy or the Wangel, but I'd never ask they be barred from the site merely because I didn't like what they said or how they said it. If I'm to support freedom of speech, even though it's not absolute, I have to understand that freedom of speech means even people with unpopular opinions can have their say, but will most likely suffer consequences for not having the popular point of view. So be it.
I agree. There are times I've disagreed with people's point of view or how they were expressed, but I'll still read their posts anyway, because at times, they also have good points on things. There were only a couple of times where Goblin did express disagreement with me and has commented on posts I've had in a way to where it made me feel sorry for saying anything, not because he disagreed but because of how he chose to express it. Actually, one time it was that, and the other time was I guess a misunderstanding. But when I posted back to him to tell him something (without being rude about it), we were usually cool after that. There are also a certain few others I can say I wouldn't usually agree with (whether it's because of their opinions or how they say things), but it doesn't mean I'd want them banned either. As I mentioned before, some people may have a different opinion on things or may be too blunt about it, but they still have a right to post here. *smiles*
Also, yeah, there were several times where I've Seen Goblin casuallly comment on something nicely, and where Sugarbaby goes and makes a comment that is obviously meant to pick on him, even though he'd started nothing in that discussion about her. And I do know that Goblin makes comments picking on other people at times, but (and correct me if I'm wrong), he usually only picks on people specifically when they've just said something he disagrees with or when something's already been started, directly relating to those instances. I haven't heard of him (at least not often) personally putting down someone just for no apparent reason. (I'm not saying he's right for what I've mentioned either, but that's what I've noticed.) So I think it goes both ways as well, if y'all don't like each other, then just learn to ignore each other and don't make personal comments that will obviously be likely to start a fight. Or better yet, if the person does say something hurtful about a simple post, either clarify it if it looks like a misunderstanding, ignore any name-calling, or just ingore them if you know they'll normally say something negative about your personal life.
Tinkerbell my thoughts exactly. Thank feck, there is someone on this thread who can speak their mind..I have indeed suffered ignorant, childsh, comments; from your woman,though the inanity of that when she is permanenatly on ignore, fair boggles the mind.
I to have to say I don't always agree with Goblin when he speaks up, but if we agreed all the time what a boring world this would be, and I also have to add that I have noticed some people on The Zone making what appear to me to be unfounded accusations towards him, and I call them unfounded because to my knowledge there is no evidence, and I don't go on rumor alone. However, I also have to add that alot of this arguing has been started from both sides, and is tiring and childish. I only respond now because I hate seeing this type of crap. It is unnecessary, and come on guys, didn't we grow out of it in Kendergarden or first grade?

yeah, although sb, probably shouldn't have posted this! she did. We have all done something we wished we wouldn't have when we are angry! Ghoblin has his way of getting at her, and every one else. You're not a bitch SB. Be the adult in this senario and ignore him. If you ignore him he wont bother you.
